Adding & Updating Your Performance Credits
Can I send you my performance updates to add to my profile?
The fastest way is to use Add/Edit, attaching evidence. On larger screens, Add/Edit is available directly from the top bar; on smaller screens, find it through search or the menu. You can also reach the same form from your profile, under Manage profile, Performance credits, Add Production or Edit; both routes lead to the same submission. If you cannot use the edit interface, email contact@operabase.com with the production link, your role, dates and evidence; emailed requests are processed manually and take longer.
Why do I need to update my performances myself?
Operabase is used by casting professionals, artistic administrators and producers worldwide. To keep the record accurate and reliable, artists are responsible for managing their own performance credits through their profiles.
How do I add or edit a production?
There are two ways to get started, and both lead to the same form:
- Use Add/Edit directly: on larger screens, click Add/Edit in the top bar; on smaller screens, find it through search or the menu.
- Go via your profile: log in to your Operabase profile, click Manage profile, then go to the Performance Credits section.
- A URL linking directly to the production page, not just the company's homepage. This is the preferred method.
- An official production programme (PDF or image) showing full cast, crew, dates and venue.
- A contract or booking confirmation email from the producing company, saved as a PDF. This alone is not sufficient but can support other evidence.
- Marketing materials sent by the producing company, such as a digital brochure or flyer with cast details.
- Photographs of a printed programme or brochure showing your name, role and production details.
- Press reviews or announcements confirming your participation, role and the production details.
From either route:
- Upload clear evidence (see below).
- Submit the production for our team to review.
What evidence do I need?
Proof that confirms the full production details, including the producing company's official branding, a full cast and crew list, and the venue name, dates and times. Accepted evidence includes:
- A URL linking directly to the production page, not just the company's homepage. This is the preferred method.
- An official production programme (PDF or image) showing full cast, crew, dates and venue.
- A contract or booking confirmation email from the producing company, saved as a PDF. This alone is not sufficient but can support other evidence.
- Marketing materials sent by the producing company, such as a digital brochure or flyer with cast details.
- Photographs of a printed programme or brochure showing your name, role and production details.
- Press reviews or announcements confirming your participation, role and the production details.
If you no longer have access to the original programme, or the production website has been taken down, use any of the alternatives above. A combination of evidence, for example a contract email plus a photo of the printed brochure, is helpful when a single source is incomplete.
Why was my submission rejected?
Submissions are rejected when we cannot verify the full production details, typically because evidence is missing, unclear or only partial. Common reasons include a link to the company's homepage instead of the specific production page, a contract alone with no cast list, venue or dates, or no evidence at all. If you believe you have valid evidence, resubmit with the clearest documentation available. If you genuinely cannot locate evidence, contact contact@operabase.com and describe the situation.
Why was a production I previously added removed?
We regularly review all production entries for accuracy. If no valid evidence supports an entry, we may remove or hide it to keep Operabase a trusted platform for industry professionals.
