How do I use the Casting Tool?
- While logged into your account, click on “Casting Tool PRO” in the “Artists” section of the left-hand menu.
- Enter the title and if necessary the composer of the piece that you are looking to cast.
- Choose the starting year of your search by selecting the year from the drop box menu labeled “Since”
- At this point another drop box menu will have appeared that as a standard says “All countries”. By clicking on it, you have the option to define only specific countries to search.
- Choose whether you would like the results to be ordered by name or by date
- Click on “Go”
- The role and creative team selection will appear
- Choose the role or function that you are looking to cast and click on it
- A list of all the artists matching your chosen criteria will appear
- In this list you will see where and when the artist has sung the role
- To the right of the name, you will also see the artist’s website and all agencies representing the artists
- The red mask signifies that this production has been either added by the Arts Organisation or verified by Operabase
- The name, production, website and agencies are hyperlinked. Simply click on any of these to get more information
