New navigation on Operabase

Operabase now has two distinct sides, and you can always tell which one you're on. A switcher in the top bar moves you between them.

The two sides

Public site (orange top bar): performances, artists, works, companies and venues, searchable all at once by location, date and genre.

Pro Tools (white top bar): casting, talent search, agencies, rentals and co-productions, musical works, the full organisations directory, and audience reach.

The Casting Tool now sits under Casting, inside Pro Tools. Role Repertoire, Desired Role, Debut Finder, and Jump-ins & Replacements are all inside it.

Adding and editing information

On larger screens, adding, editing and updating information is available from the top bar. On smaller screens, find it through search or the menu. Submitting a change is faster, and our team still verifies everything before it becomes part of the record.

Audiences

Find, save and get alerts for performances, people, musical works and organisations, in your city or anywhere in the world. Bookmark and share what you're planning to see. What's on, where you'll be, and when you're free, all in one search.

Professionals

  • Artists and industry professionals (on stage, off stage, instrumentalists, composers and creators) can claim, create and manage their profile, with streamlined profile claims and creation, faster information updates, and visibility reports.
  • Arts organisations get casting and talent search for producing, presenting and performance-credited organisations, along with updates to the Jump-in Replacement Finder, casting assistant, and availability and travel time. They also get search and filters for programming, rentals, co-productions, venue discovery and orchestra discovery, plus audience reach, visibility reports, and the ability to feature performances to the audience members most interested in them. Everyone on the team with a work email address can access all Operabase Pro Tools.
  • Agents and artist managers get faster, simpler updates to their roster's upcoming and past work, along with visibility reports. Everyone at the agency with a work email address can access all Operabase Pro Tools.
  • Journalists, researchers and academics get updated research tools and new overview pages for artists, organisations, works, genres, cities and countries, with the archive behind them, plus new visualisations for faster analysis of profiles and of the expanded archive.
