Production Details, Media & Tickets
Manage a production's information, media and tickets from your profile.
Production information
- Production custom title: use this when the production includes more than one musical work; mandatory for double or triple bills, adaptations, concerts, recitals or galas where the title differs from the musical work's own title.
- Add the production genre and staging type.
- Programme information: add all musical works in the programme, using "Programme not / partially announced" when the programme is not yet fully announced.
- Produced by: the organisation responsible; add co-producers where relevant.
- New production indicator: checking this attaches a "New production" tag visible across the platform.
- Language & surtitles: helps audiences know if they'll understand the performance, and helps casting professionals see which languages an artist has experience performing in.
- Duration: the precise or estimated length, so audiences know what to expect.
Production poster & trailer
Posters are required to announce any associated livestream or VOD. Trailers appear on production pages and are featured in the production videos of every cast member who chooses to show them, adding further visibility.
Tickets & sale dates
You can add one generic box office link per production, not one per performance date; it redirects users to the box office to purchase tickets directly.
Dates & times of performances, livestreams and VOD
Physical performances: select the month, year and each day of performance on the calendar; you can add several performances on one day afterwards. Then select country, city and venue. If a venue isn't listed, double-check the city and country, or create a new venue with as much detail as possible so we can verify it. Correct country, city and venue information is what makes a production appear on Operabase's listings and venue or map pages.
Livestreams: select the month, year and each streaming day. A livestream needs a primary poster, a website link to where it can be watched, and the time and timezone before it can appear in the Video section.
Full performance video or VOD: use this when a production is available on demand; click Add full performance video and fill in as much information as possible. A production can have both livestream and physical dates, but you need to specify the cast for every date.
Managing dates
- To add time and venue details, click Edit on a date (separate tabs exist for physical, livestream and VOD), add the time in 24-hour format, choose the performance type (world premiere, national premiere, tour), and choose a venue.
- Use "Hosted by" only when another company is hosting the performance and is not a co-producer.
- Use "Apply this same info for other selected dates" to copy details across several dates at once.
- To add another time on the same date, add one time, click Add time, and repeat.
- To delete a date, click it on the calendar or use the three dots next to it and select Delete performance.
- To mark a date as cancelled, click it on the calendar or use the three dots and select Mark as cancelled. The production must be published first; this option doesn't appear while it's still in drafts.
- Use the "Mark as sold out" slider to indicate a performance is sold out.
