FAQs - Adding a production

  1. How do I add a production to Operabase?

To add a production to Operabase, follow these steps:
  1. Log in to your Operabase account
  2. Click on “Edit”
  3. Navigate to the “Seasons” tab
  4. Click on “Add production” to add a new production to your season

2. What information do I need to add a production?

When adding a production, you will need to provide details such as the production name, dates, venue, composers, and any other relevant information that showcases the performance.

3. How can I add a production with unannounced or partially announced musical works on Operabase?

To add a production with unannounced or partially announced musical works, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Operabase account and click on “Edit”
  2. Navigate to the “Seasons” tab
  3. Click on "Add production”
  4. Search for any Musical Work using today’s date in both the “From” and “To” fields to see the button “Create new production”

Please note that the production won't be easily discovered in Performance search and the Casting Tool since it is incomplete — performed works are missing. Once the full programme is released, we recommend adding the full programme as soon as possible to the published production. Return to the production edit / suggest changes and use the "Add programme (musical work details)" button to add details of all musical works performed.

4. What happens if I need to edit or update a production?

You can edit or update a production at any time by:

  1.  Logging in to your Operabase account
  2. Navigating to the “Seasons” tab
  3. Finding the production, and clicking on "Edit". Make the necessary changes and save them.
