Visibility Report

This article details how to use the dashboard on your Operabase profile to analyse and improve your profile visibility and casting prospects.

The Operabase artist visibility report shows the number of times your name and photo appeared across Operabase.

What is the "Visibility Report" on Operabase?

Every Operabase artist profile has a Visibility Report that provides data about your visibility on the platform over time. This will only be visible to you if you are logged in and have access to your profile. This information includes:

  • Impressions - indicates how many times your name and photo appeared on Operabase.
  • Page views - indicates the number of times someone visited your public Operabase page
  • Search appearances - indicates the number of times your name or photo appeared on searches done by Casting professionals, industry professionals and audience members across Operabase

Please note that your dashboard is private to you; no one else can access or view this information.

Having a complete and updated profile that showcases your expertise and maintaining an active presence on Operabase contributes to getting found by professional users and audience members.

Impressions

This shows the number of times your name and photo appeared on Operabase. There are numerous places on Operabase where your profile can be visible (e.g. artist search, agency roster, cast and crew of a production).

Please note that this number tracks awareness as opposed to unique views. Look for changes in the numbers. If it leaps, it may be a result of you being involved in a production that is ongoing/upcoming. The more places your profile is visible (e.g. productions), the more familiar users will become with your name which could translate into profile views.

Page views

This number indicates the number of times someone visited your public Operabase page.

You can click on a point on the graph to narrow down the number of views on a certain day. Look for trends in the number of profile views that may correlate with your activity on Operabase. Peaks in views may indicate that something you added or updated led to more views. A drop in profile views may signal that you need to be more active.

Search appearances

This indicates the number of times your name or photo appeared on searches done by Casting professionals, industry professionals and audience members across Operabase. This section also displays keywords those searching used.

We recommend that you take note of your search appearance data as it can be useful to review over time. You want to ensure that when your profile appears in search results, you make the most of the opportunity by having a complete profile that includes a profile photo, intro showreel, upcoming performances, future repertoire and more, that will encourage users to click through your profile and find out more about you.
