Requesting removal or correction of your personal data

How to do it

Email contact@operabase.com from the address linked to your profile (or with enough detail for us to verify you). Say precisely what you want: correct a name spelling, remove contact details, stop emails, hide your profile, or delete your account. We handle every request individually and act on exactly what you ask — no more, no less.

If you write on behalf of someone else (for example a family member of a deceased artist), tell us your relationship.

What to expect

Corrections (e.g. a misspelled name) are made on your profile once verified. Email opt-outs stop all communications to the address you name. If you ask to be hidden, your profile stops being searchable on Operabase.

Operabase serves as a historical archive of who performed what, where and when, published performance records are preserved in the archive rather than erased — hiding removes your public presence while keeping the historical record intact, in line with our Privacy Policy and the archive's public-interest purpose. Where the law gives you a right to erasure of personal data, we honour it for the personal data concerned. We respond to every request sent on email and the erasure process can take up to one month as per GDPR.

When to contact us

For any data question — including if a previous request seems not to have been actioned. Please mention the date of your earlier email so we can trace it.
