Subscription & Billing
Common questions related to subscription and billing on Operabase, including how to cancel and how renewals work.
What subscription plans are available?
Operabase offers both free and subscription-based plans. See our plans page for a full comparison of features.
Viewing your subscriptions
- Click your profile photo or initials in the top right corner.
- Go to Account settings.
- Select the Subscriptions tab.
Only active subscriptions are shown here.
Cancelling your subscription
Operabase subscriptions renew automatically each year so your profile tools are not interrupted. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not end your current term. You keep your paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again. Your profile and performance history remain on Operabase; cancelling a subscription never deletes your record, it only removes the paid tools. We send a reminder email before each annual renewal.
- Click your profile photo or initials in the top right corner.
- Go to Account settings.
- Select the Subscriptions tab.
- Click Manage subscription. You will be redirected to the secure billing portal.
- Click Cancel subscription and confirm.
If you cannot log in, email contact@operabase.com from the address on the account and ask us to cancel; we will confirm in writing.
What happens to my profile if I cancel?
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
- Your profile and information remain on Operabase, and you keep access to your account and certain profile-editing features.
- Premium features included with your subscription are no longer available once it expires.
Can I pause my subscription instead of cancelling?
Subscriptions cannot currently be paused. If you no longer need one, you can cancel it at any time; it remains active until the end of the current billing period and will not renew.
I need more time to pay. Can I get an extension instead of cancelling?
In many cases, yes. Write to contact@operabase.com; payment-date extensions can often be arranged.
Billing details and invoices
Once an invoice has been issued it cannot be edited, but you can update your billing details for future invoices: go to Account settings, Subscriptions, Manage subscription, then Billing information, Update information, where you can edit your name (or organisation name), address and tax ID. For changes to an already issued invoice, contact contact@operabase.com.
To download an invoice or receipt: Account settings, Subscriptions, Manage subscription, then Billing history, where you can download any invoice as a PDF.
I was charged but cannot access premium features
- Log out and log back in.
- Check you are viewing the correct profile or organisation linked to the subscription.
- Confirm the subscription shows as active under Account settings, Subscriptions.
If the issue persists, contact Operabase Support with the email address on your account, your subscription type, and a copy of the payment receipt or invoice.
Refunds
As set out in our subscription and payment terms, we are unable to issue refunds for the current subscription period.
Why was my card declined?
- Check the card number and expiry date for a typo.
- Check your name and billing address match your bank's records.
- Check with your bank about daily withdrawal or purchase limits.
- Check the three-digit CVV/CVC code is entered correctly.
If a charge is declined, wait a few minutes before trying again. If the problem continues, contact your bank or card provider, who can give more detail about the decline.
When to contact us
Email contact@operabase.com with your account email and, if you have it, your invoice number if: you were charged after cancelling, you did not receive a renewal reminder, or you want to discuss a payment extension or a different plan.
