# Troubleshooting login issues
## Encountering problems logging in to your Operabase account? Here are some quick troubleshooting steps to help you get back on track
1. **Check Your Credentials:** Ensure that you're entering the correct email and password. Remember that passwords are case-sensitive.
2. **Reset Your Password:** If you've forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password" option on the login page to reset it. Follow the instructions sent to your email to create a new password.
3. **Use the “Email me login code”**: You will receive an email with a 4 digit code to log in into Operabase.
4. **Clear Browser Cache and Cookies:** Sometimes, stored data in your browser can cause login issues. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, then attempt to log in again.
5. **Use an Incognito/Private Window:** Open a private or incognito window in your browser and try logging in. This will ensure that no extensions or cached data interfere with the login process.
6. **Disable VPN or Proxy:** If you're using a VPN or proxy server, try disabling it temporarily and log in directly. Sometimes, these services can cause authentication issues.
7. **Check for Site Updates or Maintenance:** Occasionally, Operabase may undergo maintenance or updates, preventing access. Check the Operabase website for any announcements about downtime.
