Video Sections Explained

Your Operabase artist profile has several video sections: Livestream & Full performance videos, Intro showreel, Audition showreel, Video clips & general profile videos, and Production videos. Adding and editing videos in most sections requires an active subscription.

If you see a video of someone else on your profile, this is normal: Operabase auto-populates this part of your profile with a video or photo from a production you took part in, so your profile isn't left blank. To change what's shown, log in and set your own profile photo and cover photo, or add your own Intro showreel; the video you choose there is what displays at the top of your profile page.

Livestream & Full performance videos

Videos here cannot be edited or deleted, since they are attached to a production you took part in and linked automatically via the organisation's page. Artists with a subscription can show or hide them. If a video has been linked to your profile in error, email contact@operabase.com or suggest changes by editing the specific production in your schedule.

To add: log in, click Manage profile, scroll to Performance credits, find the production, and add your livestream, full performance or VOD video link directly to it.

Intro showreel

Part of the media widget alongside your profile photo. We recommend a highlight of a live performance or another engaging video. You can add videos by URL or upload, and show, hide, delete or edit them.

To add: log in, click Manage profile, scroll to the Video section, and add your video link to Intro showreel, choosing which other section it should also appear in if you'd like.

Audition showreel

Visible to users with access to the Operabase Casting Tool, where casting professionals look for artists for current and future productions. Use it to demonstrate your range and career goals. You can add videos by URL or upload, and show, hide, delete or edit them.

To add: log in, click Manage profile, scroll to the Video section, and add your video link to Audition showreel.

Video clips & general profile videos

Visible on your profile's home and video tabs. You can add, show, hide, delete, edit and reorder these (drag and drop), and link a video to an existing production.

Production videos

Videos here cannot be edited or deleted, since they are attached to a production you took part in and linked automatically via the producing organisation's page during the season collection process. Artists with a subscription can show or hide them.

To add or remove: log in, click Manage profile, scroll to Performance credits, and add your video link directly to the production, then submit the change request.

A company's chosen promotional video may not feature you; use the show/hide toggle to hide anything you don't want highlighted. You can also upload your own preferred video and link it to the production to feature in the production videos section.
