What is Operabase?

Operabase is a global database of performing arts productions, bringing together artists, agencies, companies, festivals, orchestras, choruses, competitions and audiences. It has a public side, for anyone searching for performances, artists, works, organisations and venues, and Pro Tools, a separate set of tools for industry professionals.

What is the Casting Tool?

The Operabase Casting Tool helps casting professionals, producers and artistic teams plan seasons, cast productions and find last-minute replacements. It gives a data-driven view of artists and productions, so you can quickly identify the right talent by repertoire, role, availability, location and professional history. Logging in

Go to www.operabase.com and click Login. You can log in with Google, Facebook, Apple or email. If you do not have an account, follow the registration process to set one up.

I've forgotten my password. How do I reset it?

If you log in with email and have forgotten your password, click Forgot Password? on the login screen and enter the email address you registered with. You will receive an email with reset instructions, or you can choose Email me a login link for a temporary sign-in link instead.

What do I do with the security code sent to my email?

Enter the code on the Operabase login screen. Operabase will never ask you to send the code, or your password, by email.

Buying tickets

Click the Tickets button on a performance listing to be redirected to the theatre or festival's own box office to complete your purchase. Operabase displays ticket links as provided by the producing organisation; we do not sell tickets directly and are not responsible for availability, pricing, seating or any other detail of the transaction. Confirm all booking information directly with the venue or box office before purchasing.

Live streams and video on demand

You can watch live streams and full performance videos on Operabase. Some content is paid, and you will be redirected to the relevant platform. This content is added by arts organisations, artists, agents and audience members, and checked by our team before publication. Operabase provides links to streaming content as listed by the producing organisation; we are not responsible for the availability, quality or accuracy of third-party streaming services, so confirm details directly with the provider first.
